Birth Doula Services: $700. Sliding scale and payment plans available. 
A Birth Doula offers continuous support to laboring mothers and their partners. They suggest physical comfort measures and emotional support, encouragement and enhance communication between the mother and medical professionals. Doulas are mindful of helping a partner become involved in the birth to the extent that they feel comfortable. Birth doulas cheer on their laboring clients and have wisdom that comes from experience to help everyone keep perspective. Birth doulas are labor and delivery map givers, it is the laboring women, their babies and their partners who do the beautiful work of bringing a family about.
This package includes:
- FREE interview/ consult
- One home visit to create and go over a “birth plan”
- 24 hour phone/ email access to Linda for questions and concerns
- One additional meeting (usually with care provider prior to birth)
- Discuss labor-coping skills and position
- Consistent and continuous emotional and physical labor support
- Facilitate good communication between you and your partner as well as the hospital staff
- Suggestions for labor progression and comfort measures
- Support the partner and provide tools for them to support mom
- Immediate postpartum breastfeeding support family bonding
- One postpartum visit and a “the night you were born” letter to your baby
- Access to lending library
- Referrals, as needed.
