Linda was my doula for my daughter's birth in August 2010. Linda is a fantastic lady and an amazing doula! I truly don't know how I would have survived my daughter's birth without Linda. I went into pre-labor 3 weeks before I actually gave birth, and Linda was there from day one. She came over the night I went into pre-labor and stayed with me until we were sure I wasn't headed for the hospital anytime soon. She was with me frequently in the 3 weeks following, doing everything she could to support me and prepare me for the birth. Once I was in active labor, she came over immediately and was with me through the entire process. Linda helped me labor at home for almost 7 hours before we went to the hospital. Once we were there, she used many relaxation techniques to get me through the remaining hours of my 20-hour labor until the baby was finally born. She was also indispensable when there were problems with my epidural during transition - I don't know how I could have coped with the pain of back labor without an epidural without her. She was supportive of all my decisions in and out of the labor room, including helping me to work through 3 tough hours of pushing when the baby was turned at the end. Linda was also very supportive of me and my baby after the birth, visiting frequently and giving helpful suggestions to help my postpartum recovery along. I definitely recommend Linda as a wonderful choice for a birth doula!

Linda helped us care for our newborn baby in the first few months after she was born. She's the kind of person that put this neurotic first time mom at complete ease. When she first scooped up our daughter she immediately started talking to her, singing to her, playing with her and reading her stories.

So many other care providers work hard to just keep a baby quiet but Linda works hard to make sure that your child is happy and constantly learning and growing. We were very sad to hear that she was leaving Austin. She left enormous shoes for us to fill.

We used Miranda Birth Services for postpartum care after a c-section and I can honestly say it made the transition from 1 to 2 kids much more relaxed and enjoyable than I thought it would be. Linda not only helped care for our oldest son (who is totally in love with her) but she also helped with housework, dinner preparation, cleaning and made sure I got to take naps...this service is every mom's dream. I had no idea that a Doula could provide such extensive and knowledgeable postpartum care but was thrilled with the hands on support and highly recommend her services to anyone who needs a little, or a lot, of extra help!

If you are looking for a Doula to help you through the crazy changes that come with having a baby whether it be your first or third I would totally recommend Linda! She is extremely caring and full of great info to help through each stage....even after your little bundle of joy is here...and you are in the fog of no sleep and trying to figure out breastfeeding :) I would definitely say you should add her to your "team". I can still remember when my back was killing my with my first baby and she massaged it for me and that was it...a fan for life.
